Physicochemical transformations were studied in the interaction of powdered Na2CO3 with an orthophosphoric acid–solution at Na2CO3/H3PO4 = 4.0-0.5 and H2O/Na2CO3 = 2.0-.0 molar ratios providing synthesis of a powder-like product with a moisture content not exceeding 10 wt %, which is of interest as a builder of synthetic detergents. The chemical and phase composition of synthesis products was analyzed and it was shown that the main crystalline phases are Na2CO3?NaHCO3?H2O, Na2CO3?H2O, NaHCO3, Na3PO4?em class="EmphasisTypeItalic">nH2O (n = 8-2), and Na2HPO4?em class="EmphasisTypeItalic">mH2O (m = 2-2).
