The following article briefly summarizes the basic soil mechanics related to the shear strength of the soil and takes into account the specifics of special foundation techniques. Using a number of executed projects as examples, various methods and approaches to solving problems are presented. In addition to the classical solution approach with anchors and piles, grouting and deep vibro techniques are also an applicable option for certain projects.
