Based on thermodynamic energy and entropy balances, the relationship between energy consumption for cooling and the heat ratio for an absorption refrigerating machine with mode and construction variables has been obtained. The limiting refrigeration capacity of the machine and the corresponding value of the heat ratio have been found. The problem of the optimal distribution of heat-exchange surfaces has been solved.
