A family of three-periodic nets formed from intersecting helical ladders (double helices) is described. Tilings and ring sizes are analyzed. Removal of the rungs of the ladders results in periodic patterns of linked rings (three-periodic “chain mail”). A related family of nets formed from triple helices leads similarly to interwoven threads.
