Pseudomyxoma peritonei or gelatinous disease of the peritoneum is a rare disease. We describe the first case in Senegal. It is a case of a 43-year-old man received with symptomatology of abdominal pain, with an increased volume of the abdomen. The imaging allowed the confirmation of the diagnosis of the disease histologically. The evolution was unfavorable, the disease was at an advanced stage and the patient died before receiving cytoreductive surgery.
