PurposeAn effective method for controlling haemostasis during open thyroidectomy procedures is crucial because of the high risks of haemorrhage and neck haematoma. This study aimed to demonstrate the efficacy of the integrated ultrasonic/bipolar Thunderbeat™ for this procedure.
