In patients with craniomandibular dysfunctions (CMD) clinical history, clinical examination as well as radiographic diagnostics are essential. Through the last decades, major advances in diagnostics of CMD occurred. This article focuses on the importance of following imaging modalities: X‑ray/panoramic radiograph, cone beam computed tomography and computer tomography, (high resolution) ultrasound, nuclear imaging, magnetic resonance imagine.
