To build up the global and contextual support of the patients, the outpatient oncology unit of the EHCMorges is using a measure of the situation’s complexity: INTERMED. The situation of the patients and their capacities are evaluated by means of an interview. During 4 years, the analysis of 277 interviews highlights that INTERMED is useful by giving the patient a room for free expression, by detecting the need that could not be recognized and enabling to communicate with an holistic concern.
