The aim of this article is to highlight a communication strategy used by physicians and patients during a consultation announcing a diagnosis of glioblastoma. The method used is a discursive analysis of 20 interviews with four patients, through the use of two pronouns “I” and “we”. Described are the paths of interpersonal investment of the participants as well as the distance markers necessary for mutual recognition in intersubjectivity.
