Paroxysmal cardiac arrhythmias are an important differential diagnosis of epileptic seizures. Their clinical diagnosis is of particular importance as cardiac syncope is associated with a higher mortality. Therefore an actual surface ECG should be carefully examined and further cardiological diagnostics should be considered.
