One BLAD-carrier Black-and-White Holstein bull is revealed. The CV allele of Black-and-White and Red-and-White Holstein bulls is absent. Bulls of black-and-white, brown, and red genealogical roots are investigated with the use of the kappa-casein gene. The prevalence of genotypes κ-CNAA and κ-CNAB is shown. Disruption of genetic equilibrium is noted in Red Steppe bulls (χ2 = 5.1; df = 1; P < 0.05). The κ-CNE allele is absent. A unidirectional breeding program is established for selecting bulls for the purpose of producing progeny with a high milk yield. The antigen pool of blood groups of Brown Swiss cows is divided into three groups: with a rare level of frequency of occurrence, from 0 to 0.3; average, from 0.3 to 0.5; and high, from 0.5 and higher. Cows of this breed are characterized by prevalence of allele κ-CNB over κ-CNA.
