Colon interposition after esophagectomy is an established surgical technique for the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the esophagus. Degeneration into adenocarcinoma of colonic graft is exceptional. We report the first case of degeneration into squamous cell carcinoma, occurring in a 33-years-old man, 13 years after colonic interposition. Through this observation, we emphazise the interest of long-term follow-up of these patients.
