The current debate focusing Bildung und social education in the field of social-pedagogy includes clients of Social Work and excludes social workers as well as pedagogues and their education and professional training. Therefore this article emphases on questions of relevance and potential of social education for social workers and social pedagogues as well as their professionalization.
