Index Abstract In the dinuclear compound (HPhen)₂[Sm₂(Hsal)₈(H₂O)₂] ¡¤ 2H₂O (Hsal = o-HOC₆H₄CO₂ −, Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions between parallel aromatic rings result in the formation of a two-dimensional supramolecular network.
