The goal of this study was to examine personality differences between exhibitionists, child molesters, and rapists. Specifically, the exploration of personality differences amongst sex offenders could aid in the development of more effective psychological treatment. This study worked within a personality theory. All tests were performed at the 95% confidence level (alpha = .05). First, Hypothesis 1 was analyzed. This hypothesis was not supported. Second, Hypothesis 2 was analyzed. Hypothesis 2 was not supported. Although the overall model was not significant for Hypothesis 2, within the model, exhibitionists scored in the significantly more masculine range than child molesters. Future studies with a larger sample sizes could further explore these differences.
