General-purpose cell-based procedures for radiation heat transfer and diffusion processes using unstructured grid are developed. In these procedures,the spatial domain is divided into a finite number of control volumes,while the angular domain is divided into a finite number of control angles. The present procedures are applied to a variety of test problems. These test problems include conduction heat transfer,fully developed duct flow and heat transfer in ducts,radiation heat transfer,and combined conduction-radiation heat transfer problems. The solutions indicate that the methods are accurate and can be a viable numerical procedure for combined conductive and radiative heat transfer in complex industrial applications.
