The purpose of this study was to plan and evaluate the results obtained from the Runoff and Best Management Practice BPM) workshop. This was offered to a random sample n =142) of physical plant maintenance personnel of Mayagü;ez Campus using andragogical methods. The workshop effectiveness was evaluated through participants perceptions and their knowledge gained. There was a total agreement of a workshop with audiovisual resources and the organization of the topics presented, were the best alternative to educate Mayagü;ez Campus employees. Moreover, the andragogical teaching methods that were used manual, poster, video and demonstrations) proved to be valid for this adult population. The workshop on runoff water and BMP proved to be effective since before it the personnel was not aware of good practices and rules regarding runoff water and there was a significant knowledge improvement when compared test results before, after and three months later the workshop.
