伪-ray excited emission spectra of
langasite fami
ly crysta
ls, LGS (La
3Ga
5SiO
14), LNGA (La
3Nb
0.5Ga
5.3A
l0.2O
14) and LTGA (La
3Ta
0.5Ga
5.3A
l0.2O
14) were measured. Dominating emission bands were observed at 378 nm for LGS,
556 nm for LNGA and 42
5 nm for LTGA. X-ray excited radio
luminescence intensity of these crysta
ls was quantitative
ly compared with BGO standard scinti
llator. Photo
luminescence 2D-spectra were measured as we
ll and compared with radio
luminescence ones. In LTGA a
lso photo
luminescence decays were measured for two dominant contributing emission centers.
Observed emission bands within 300-360 nm and beyond 400 nm most probably belong to self-trapped or trapped excitons and lattice defects, respectively.
