Analysis of a self Q-switched mode-locking c-cut Nd : GdV O4 /KTP green laser

摘要
A diode-pumped self 10&_cdi=5537&_rdoc=8&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=1ee2e9695dd0e3cac74b45f13604b420" title="Click to view the MathML source">Q-switched mode-locking intracavity frequency doubled 10&_cdi=5537&_rdoc=8&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=67e069786447513cd3fcc7638e7565d3" title="Click to view the MathML source">c-cut Nd:GdV O4/KTP green laser is presented. The self-mode-locking is self-starting and stable. About 100%modulation depth for the self-mode-locked green pulses has been achieved. Using the hyperbolic secant function methods and the theory of Kerr-lens mode-locking, considering the Kerr-lens effect of gain medium, the cascading of second-order nonlinearities of KTP crystal, and also the influences of continuous pump rate, the stimulated-radiation lifetime of the active medium, we give a developed rate equation model for self 10&_cdi=5537&_rdoc=8&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=f3da284db44e252974a081878fdb1208" title="Click to view the MathML source">Q-switched and mode-locked laser. For this developed model, the theoretical evaluations are in good agreement with the experimental results and the width of the mode-locked green pulse was estimated to be about 210 ps.
