The high Curie temperature (
420K) and the high-spin polarization of the double perovskite Sr2FeMoO6 make it a promising candidate for potential applications at room temperature in spin electronics. Mössbauer spectra, measured from 77 to 480K, provide information about the electronic configuration of iron and its crystallographic environment.
