摘要
We survey magnetostriction (MS) effects and magnetoelastic (MEL) coupling over a wide range of 3d and 4f materials recently or currently studied in our laboratory, encompassing the following: rare-earth superlattices, Cu/Ni/Cu trilayers, REFe2 thin films, intermetallics of “giant” (GM) MS Gd5 (SixGe1−x)4, Y–Fe rich intermetallics with strong Hubbard-forced MS and CMR and layered perovskites. Relevant information has been extracted for different interactions: MEL coupling, exchange coupling, magnetocrystalline anisotropy, interfacial MEL effect, electronic structure and U-coulomb interaction (Y–Fe). Magnetic phase diagrams H–T and T–x have been traced for some systems and FOPT magnetostructural and FOMP transitions were observed (GM intermetallics and layered perovskites, respectively).
