Granulomatous lobular mastitis is a chronic inflammatory breast disease that poses diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Clinically, this disease presents as a breast mass with inflammatory signs mimicking inflammatory breast carcinoma. Radiographic and sonographic patterns may be nonspecific and the diagnosis is given by biopsy and microbiological studies. The therapeutic management of this entity is unclear because of its low frequency and unknown etiology.
