We report the case of a 53-year-old woman who had received neoadjuvant chemotherapy for peritoneal carcinomatosis of probable ovarian origin and who was referred to our department for evaluation of surgical rescue. After good response to treatment, surgery was performed and a pathological diagnosis of bilateral ovarian psammocarcinoma with multiple implants in other structures was established. We wish to highlight the rarity of the diagnosis of this entity and the scarcity of scientific evidence on its treatment.
