Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) of upper extremity is a rare clinical entity, its intervening after a bony fracture is exceptional. The authors report the case of an amateur judoka who's developed a thrombosis of the deep humeral vein following a clavicular fracture, the diagnosis was suspect clinically and confirmed by the ultrasound scan. Anticoagulation was the cornerstone of therapy and the evolution was good.
