Growth conditions for pure and Al3+-doped Tb3Ga5O12 garnet crystals by the Czochralski method have been established. The growth protective atmosphere, changes in the lattice parameters with various dopant concentrations, segregation coefficient of Al3+ in Tb3Ga5−xAlxO12 crystal, absorption and transmission spectra in the wavelength range of 400–1100 nm as well as the Faraday rotation and magneto-optical figure of merit in 532 nm are investigated.
