摘要

Background: Hemodynamical informations obtained by transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) have a prognostic importance in patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy (CEA). The purposes of this study were: (1) to examine the effect of CEA on the mean flow velocity (mFV) and PI of middle cerebral artery (MCA) in patients operated because of the unilateral asymptomatic > 70%stenosis of internal carotid artery (ICA); (2) to compare the intraoperative ICA stump pressure (ICA-SP) with the maximal postoperative change of mFV.
