Epitaxial thin films of the highly spin polarized Heusler compound coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJ6-4MWPYMS-6&_mathId=mml13&_user=10&_cdi=5302&_rdoc=12&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=e5486a4960c4238c5d9645d01ce975a8" title="Click to view the MathML source">Co2Cr0.6Fe0.4Al are deposited by DC magnetron sputtering. It is shown by XRD and TEM investigations how the use of an Fe buffer layer on MgO(1 0 0) substrates supports the growth of highly ordered coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJ6-4MWPYMS-6&_mathId=mml14&_user=10&_cdi=5302&_rdoc=12&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=00c5a6b59725cd7d09baad8eaf16cbc1" title="Click to view the MathML source">Co2Cr0.6Fe0.4Al at low deposition temperatures. The as-grown samples show a relatively large ordered magnetic moment of coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJ6-4MWPYMS-6&_mathId=mml15&_user=10&_cdi=5302&_rdoc=12&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=5460196082d97f87d4df7a511c2c6af9" title="Click to view the MathML source">;c;3.0;c;B/f.u. providing evidence for a low level of disorder.
