A total 40 tumor samples and 6 normal brain tissue samples were collected. Biomarker KIF2C and AURKB were tested by qRT-PCR. Using Western blot validate the results.
We found that KIF2C and AURKB genes were higher expression in glioma samples when were compared with normal brain tissues. KIF2C and AURKB expression were associated with histopathological grades. We found that KIF2C as a potential independent prognostic marker for patient with glioma by Cox analysis.
The expression level of KIF2C mRNA could be a potential independent marker to evaluate patient prognosis.
