Effect of Zr content on microstructure of BaTi2O5 powders prepared by sol-gel method

摘要
BaZrxTi2 鈭?#xA0;xO5 powders (x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 and 0.04) were prepared by the sol-gel method. The effect of the Zr content and sintering temperature on crystal structure and microstructure was investigated. The good-crystallization BaZrxTi2 鈭?#xA0;xO5 powders with BaTi2O5 phase were obtained as the sintering temperature was at and above 1000 掳C. With increasing the Zr content, the lattice parameters of a-, b- and c-axes increased. As the sintering temperature increased, the grains grew larger. At high sintering temperature (more than 1000 掳C), the BaZrxTi2 鈭?#xA0;xO5 powders consisted of faceted grains due to its monoclinic structure.
