Phase relations and flux research for ZnO crystal growth in the ZnO–Bb>2b>Ob>3b>–Pb>2b>Ob>5b> system

摘要
The subsolidus phase relations of the ternary system ZnO–Bb>2b>Ob>3b>–Pb>2b>Ob>5b> were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD). Seven binary compounds, 1 ternary compound and 10 three-phase regions were determined in this system. The phase diagrams of the pseudo-binary systems Znb>3b>(BOb>3b>)b>2b>–ZnO, Znb>3b>(POb>4b>)b>2b>–ZnO and Znb>3b>BPOb>7b>–ZnO were also determined through XRD and differential thermal analysis (DTA) methods. They all form eutectic systems with eutectic temperature about 1000 °C. Znb>3b>(BOb>3b>)b>2b> and Znb>3b>(POb>4b>)b>2b> are not suitable fluxes, while Znb>3b>BPOb>7b> might be a suitable flux for ZnO crystal growth.
