Effects of MoOb>3b> loading and calcination temperature on the activity of the sulphur-resistant methanation catalyst MoOb>3b>/纬-Alb>2b>Ob>3b>

摘要
The effects of calcination temperature and MoOb>3b> loading on the syngas methanation performance of MoOb>3b>/纬-Alb>2b>Ob>3b> catalyst prepared by the incipient-wetness impregnation method were studied. Mo-Al/25 catalyst (鈭?.04 Mo/nm2) calcined at 600 掳C reached maximum activity with 46.45%CO conversion. All of the experimental results demonstrated that the saturated monolayer coverage of MoOb>3b> over a 纬-Alb>2b>Ob>3b> support was closet to 25 wt.%MoOb>3b>. It was discovered that tetrahedrally coordinated Mo6+ (T), instead of octahedrally coordinated Mo6+ (O), is the active catalytic precursor in its oxidised state. Additionally, it was also confirmed that the presence of crystalline MoOb>3b> and Alb>2b>(MoOb>4b>)b>3b> species depended on not only the MoOb>3b> loading but also the calcination temperature.
