Long-Term Results of Aorto-Iliac Arterial Reconstruction: Comparison of Operative Procedures

摘要

Between April 1985 and October 1994, 144 aorta-iliac arterial reconstructions were performed in 130 patients (125 men and 5 women, age range 40 to 84 years) with arteriosclerosis obliterans. The patients were divided into three groups according to operative procedure: (1) 54 anatomical bypasses (aorta-iliac: AI, aorta-femoral: A-F, and ilio-femoral: I-F), (2) 63 extra-anatomical bypasses (axillo-femoral: Ax-F, and femoro-femoral: F-F), and (3) 27 thromboendarterectomies: TEA. For these three groups, age, complications, risk factors, postoperative patency rate and patients' survival rate were studied.
