Fabrication of fully epitaxial ZnO/Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub> heterostructures on conductive LaNiO<sub>3sub>

摘要
Fully epitaxial ZnO(0001)/Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub>(111) spin injection heterostructures with LaNiO<sub>3sub>(111) conductive buffer layers were fabricated on SrTiO<sub>3sub>(111) by sputtering for the prospective spin injection experiments. Epitaxial growth of Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub> can be realized at temperatures higher than 673 K on LaNiO<sub>3sub>(111) substrates. The epitaxial relationship was determined to be . With the increase of LaNiO<sub>3sub> growth temperature, the surface of Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub> in the hybrid heterostructures becomes flatter whereas the magnetization of ZnO/Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub> decreases. A Verwey transition located at ~ 110 K was observed in all the ZnO/Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub> heterostructures, demonstrating the stoichiometry and good crystallinity of Fe<sub>3sub>O<sub>4sub>.
