Thrombolytic therapy of acute ischemic stroke is a treatment with high efficacy but carries significant risks. Unlike the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, subdural hematoma as a result of intravenous thrombolytic therapy for ischemic stroke has not been previously reported.
We report a patient with ischemic stroke received intravenous thrombolytic therapy and undergoes a large subdural hematoma in the right convexity.
Subdural hematoma after intravenous thrombolytic therapy is exceptional. This case can be the first publication of a subdural hematoma after intravenous thrombolytic therapy for ischemic stroke.
