The experimental density
蟻 and refractive index
nb>Db> of the six
binary mixtures of dimethylphthalate and dimethyladipate with 1-
butanol, 2-
butanol and 2-
butanone have
been determined. All measurements of
蟻 and
nb>Db> have
been performed simultaneously at eight temperatures (288.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, 313.15, 318.15 and 323.15) K, and atmospheric pressure. Excess molar volumes and d
eviations of refractive indices 螖
nb>Db> were correlated
by the Redlich-Kister equation.
In addition, correlation of have been performed with the Peng-Robinson-Stryjek-Vera cubic equation of state (PRSV CEOS) with two different types of mixing rules: the van der Waals (vdW1) and mixing rule introduced by Twu et al. (TCBT). For the refractive index calculations several mixing rules were employed: Lorentz-Lorenz, Dale-Gladstone, Eykman, Arago-Biot, Newton and Oster.
