The key reaction 12coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml37&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=ea19797cd6142bd59b38fff97c514a96" title="Click to view the MathML source">C(α,γ)16O in nuclear astrophysics is difficult to be performed experimentally at low energy because of the Coulomb barrier. But it is different if we use its inverse reaction 16coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml38&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=d9b757866bf496e37718a0c17f4f4888" title="Click to view the MathML source">O(γ,α)12C because the cross-section of 16coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml39&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=8cab806bea68c4ee734ade593704c917" title="Click to view the MathML source">O(γ,α)12C is almost 100 times larger than the cross-section of 12coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml40&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=d10a149b90d2b3054401543388359596" title="Click to view the MathML source">C(α,γ)16O at the same center of mass energy coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml41&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=fa98728876a2a010a191745a14695a94" title="Click to view the MathML source">(Ec.m.) based on our study. In the present work, we study the angular distributions and total cross-sections of 16coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml42&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=d756ebca48e21d4d6e49b8844262e299" title="Click to view the MathML source">O(γ,α)12C which are induced by polarized photon using the resonance theory of low energy reaction. The differential cross-sections as well as E1 and E2 transition cross-sections at low nuclear astrophysics energies are also calculated. The feature of the future Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source (SLEGS) facility, a low energy coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml43&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=834ba8fe2279e3d3a4ef0ecc5b44a723" title="Click to view the MathML source">γ-ray beam line with a high photon flux, is presented. The experiments of 16coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml44&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=1f12178ccd616945dba1eaea481ee6a9" title="Click to view the MathML source">O(γ,α)12C are simulated with a time projection chamber (TPC) and a realistic SLEGS layout. The lowest coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml45&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=e3a8337f50817f178abc8734d0318f8b" title="Click to view the MathML source">(Ec.m.), which can be obtained from the simulation, is 0.8 MeV with the 20–30%uncertainty for the one-month beam time of SLEGS. The extracted coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml46&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=8a95be6224fca48be311ff8302d22b22" title="Click to view the MathML source">S factors of 12coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml47&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=35550439229edc728471decc79d4b7e6" title="Click to view the MathML source">C(α,γ)16O and their statistical uncertainties from the simulation are compared with the existing data and some theoretical calculations. It is shown that the promising 16coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml48&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=7642be16c5e4492b4d0babcb650a050f" title="Click to view the MathML source">O(γ,α)12C experiment at SLEGS can largely reduce the statistical uncertainties of the 12coration:none; color:black" href="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_udi=B6TJM-4PDC17C-6&_mathId=mml49&_user=10&_cdi=5314&_rdoc=34&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_userid=10&md5=557d6214649483fb8fd90e6f74726832" title="Click to view the MathML source">C(α,γ)16O experiment at low energies.
