摘要
Macrosegregation and centre porosity are two of the major quality issues in the continuous casting of medium and large round blooms.Mould,strand and final stirrer are some of the most used tools to improve the above mentioned aspects.This paper describes recent the Danieli experience in the application of the combined mould,strand and final stirrer to round blooms.Final stirrer has been optimised introducing an innovative dynamic control of current intensity,which optimises different quality requirements.
