Development and application of continuous casting technology at Baosteel Stainless Steel

摘要
Two casters for stainless steel slab production have been put into production by Baosteel Stainless Steel Co.,Ltd.Since 2004,the annual output of stainless steel slabs reached to 1.35 million tons in 2012.By the development and application of advanced technology for stainless steel continuous casting,even under the high output requirement,the slab quality become better and better,the surface quality of austenitic stainless steel slabs meet the requirement for hot charging,the sliver defect ratio of cold sheet is less than 3%.Both the two stainless steel slab continuous casters meet the requirement of both the high yield and high quality.Looking forward to the future,there are still lots of work to be done include cost saving production method and electromagnetic metallurgy of casting.
