摘要
The extensions of Mori-Tanaka[1] model by Benveniste[2] and debonding treatment by Qu[3] have been used to investigate the mechanical property predictions for injection molded chopped fiber filled composites. The debonding behavior in these composites is found one of the major reasons for weakening composite properties and eventually causing the failure, so the debonding model with a proper parameter and interface shear strength (IFSS) are found important in the nonlinear composite property predictions. These micro-mechanical solutions of the composite properties are passed to a suitable finite-element based structural analysis, several case studies are presented to show the difference from perfect bonding assumption used in the original Mori-Tanaka model.
