摘要
Tight gas reservoir development is one of six areas of emphasis by Chevron in the general category of " unconventional resource developments" This discussion describes Chevron's experience and innovation in three gas field developments:Lobo Trend in Texas, USA, the Piceance Basin in Colorado,USA,and the Whitney Canyon -Carter Creek Field in Wyoming,USA.This discussion describes the applied technologies utilized to maximize recoveries from these fields.It includes technologies such as geomechanical reservoir simulators for predicting fracture growth and sanding potential and rock mechanic algorithms for predicting rock properties.It also includes processes (workflows) such as a reservoir characterization simulation optimizer (RCSO) for building and testing reservoir models.
