摘要
The refining process of ultra-pure ferritic stainless steels was studied in laboratory. The effects of Fe-Si-Al alloy with different Si/Al ratio on deoxidation process and the typical inclusions after deoxidization, titanium alloying and calcium treatment processes were investigated. The forming conditions of the typical inclusions were also analyzed by thermodynamic calculation. The results show that the contents of dissolved aluminum and total oxygen deoxidized by pure aluminum were similar to that of deoxidized by Fe-Si-Al alloy. The main oxide inclusions were ( MgO) -Al2O3-SiO2 after deoxidation by silicon-aluminum complex deoxidizer. After titanium alloying, the inclusions turn to Al2O3-MgO-( SiO2 ) -TiOx complex and TiN.After calcium treatment, the typical inclusions were MgO-Al2O3-CaO-SiO2-TiOx spherical type complex ones. The amount and total area of inclusions and average particle diameters decreased with deoxidation by Fe-Si-Al alloy than pure aluminum. The effect of calcium treatment and titanium alloying sequence on the composition, morphology, and size distribution of inclusions are discussed.
