The external appearance of the material cann be changed by stress,further mole it can provide the adequate diffusion paths for the phases transition by accumulating much more defects.In this study the 5Cu40Zn55AI alloy containing the metastable phases was to be treated by hammering and ball milling.After the experiment the changing of the phase composition was analyzed.It can be found that the metastabe phases could be eliminated by ball milling in the 5Cu40Zn55AI alloy.And the phase composition of it was identical to the equilibrium phase composition at room temperature.There were still the metastable phases after hammering the alloy.The phase constituents were not changed.This illustrated that the change of the phase structure has relationship with the mode of action of the stress.Much more defects could be accumulated in the inner alloys by ball milling,which can provide the adequate driving force and diffusion paths for the transition ofmetastable phases.
