摘要
Bearing remanufacturing is a key factor of the SKF Asset Efficiency Optimization program which includes life cycle management.Due to the negative impact of damages from the application ( wear,rust,contamination,sporadic metal-to-metal contact,etc.),the service life of an individual bearing may,in many cases,turn out to be shorter than the calculated rating life.That is why,by a controlled remanufacturing process,before any major damage and/or bearing failure occur,the service life of a bearing can be substantially prolonged.As a leading global supplier of bearings for more than 100 years and extensive knowledge and experience of rotating machinery SKF can give its customers access to world-class bearing remanufacturing services.The collaboration with Baosteel since 2007 is a great example of how supplier and customer can become partners to reach targets like cost savings,reduced carbon dioxide emissions,competence development and efficient optimization of assets in the metals industry.
