摘要
The inclined cracks that have any angles to the rail trends are the major damage mode of the rail surface for high-speed railway. It is important to enhance rapid and accurate detection and identification.Compared with ultrasonic testing, 3D magnetic flux leakage (MFL) allows fast and non-contact detection. This paper firstly investigates the major damage modes and features of the high-speed railway rail surface, and probes into the current detection means and their merits and faults. The 3D MFL of these inclined cracks with different depth, width and tilt angle are simulated and tested, the peak value of Bx of leakage field (BxH) and the peak value of By of leakage field (ByH) are obtained. So angles θ of cracks are calculated by the parameter arctan(BxH/ByH) to identify the angle between the inclined cracks and rail trends, which is a necessary step for the feature measurement such as the depth and width of oblique cracks.Eventually, measurement errors are analyzed.
