摘要
The paper deals with new market developments in the area of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) like dual-phase,martensitic,complex-phase,TRIP and furthermore highest strength pipe grades.When attempting to produce those steel grades,existing mills often reach there limits in terms of power and flexibility.Siemens VAI offers several solutions in regards of cooling and coiling these new materials in hot strip mills.The recently developed “Power Cooling” solution combine the advantages of laminar cooling as well as the pressurized high power cooling with high cooling rates for flexible operation.Furthermore to handle those high strength and thick-gauge materials the Power Coiler enables reliable strip coiling which guarantees the most economical production.Moreover,harmonized mechanical design with advanced automation models is an integral part to enhance the reliable production of high-strength steels for a wide range of strip dimensions.In this context new opportunities and examples of upgrading e.g.finishing mill equipment,cooling technology and the coiling area will be highlighted.
