摘要
Effects of Mg addition on the solidification macrostructure of Ti-stabilized ultra-purity ferritic stainless steels was evaluated experimentally in order to obtain the fine equiaxed grains.Thermodynamic analysis on formation of complex inclusions by adding Mg was carried out combined with the SEM-EDS analysis.Equiaxed solidification was promoted by adding Mg,the proportions of equiaxed grain zone of 409L,4003,439 and 443NT stainless steel increased remarkably.Mg addition produces spinel oxide in the molten steel, which accelerate the TiN formation, and enhances columnar-to-equiaxed transition during the solidification.
