会贤社创办规制

摘要
左秉隆作为晚清驻新加坡第一任领事,与继任者通过开办文会和进行诗歌创作,促进了当地整体文学风气和教化氛围的兴起,进而形成一个由南来文人与本地士绅组成的"士阶层"。这个士阶层持续地以熟悉的文学技艺和形式——旧体诗文来写作,创作出了马华文学古典时期最早的形态。左领事在任内开办的文会主要有会贤社、会吟社,两社从课榜和课试内容两方面形成会贤社的创办规制,对马华旧文学的产生起推广作用。
As the first consul in Singapore in the late Qing Dynasty, Zuo Binglong and his successors promote the rise of local literary mood and enlightenment atmosphere through the opening of literary societies and poetry creation, thus forming a group of "scholar social stratum" comprising southern literati and local gentry. This scholar social stratum continues to take literary creation in the familiar skills and forms--old-fashioned poetry, creating the earliest form of Malaysian Chinese Literature in the classical period. The main literature societies held by Consul Zuo in his term,Huixian Society and Huiyin Society, have formed the regulations of establishing Huixian Society in terms of the curriculum list and the test content,playing the role on promoting the emergence of the old Malaysian Chinese Literature.
