摘要

施由明先生的专著《明清江西乡绅与县域社会治理》,对乡绅概念的辨析、对江西乡绅特点的提炼、对乡绅与江西地域社会治理的关系、对乡绅如何走向近代化等有独到的研究,提出了一些有新意的观点,但对有些概念及问题的表述仍需要更准确的拿捏。
        The monograph Jiangxi Squires and County Social Governance in Ming and Qing Dynasties, written by Shi Youming, is very distinctive in differentiating the concepts of squires, refining characteristics of Jiangxi's squires, analyzing the relationship between the squires and the social governance of Jiangxi, and researching the squire modernization transition.It puts forward some new ideas and leaves a few problems to be further elaborated.
