Gender space is an important background and power for literary narrative, and its absence is caused by the way how gender space is treated. The complicated and close relations between gender and space have been constructed in literary works,to some extent, which indicates that space in Victorian novels has obvious trend of being gendered. It is the idea of gender geography that gender can be defined by space and space can be experienced by gender, however, both men and women in Victorian era are limited by the spatial difference and reconstruction, which depends on the community imagination in British society. The completely novel experiences for different genders trigger more challenges or deconstruction in the process of building the future communities with shared future.
