摘要
史宁中教授是我国改革开放后首批公费留学博士生,他不仅在数理统计领域造诣极深,而且在哲学和中国传统文化等领域也颇有建树。作为高校教育管理者,史宁中教授亦在长期的教育实践中取得了丰富的教育理论与实践成果。抓住机遇,坚持为基础教育服务的办学特色,构建全方位的教师教育体系,大学—政府—学校(U-G-S)模式享誉全国;独辟蹊径,垦拓农村教育,引领中国农村教育研究,为中国农村教育发展研究院跻身国家核心智库打下坚实基础;关注过程育人,重视思维炼制,提出"四基""四能""三会"的教学理念,为我国基础教育的改革及发展贡献智慧,影响深远;立足国情,关注职业教育,科学判断,放眼未来普职新格局;高瞻远瞩,能谋善治,创新方法,带领学校走上发展快车道;会通文理,审慎育人,重视人才培养,为高考进一步科学化提供了有益思考。
        As one of the first batch of doctoral students studying abroad at public expense since the reform and opening-up in China, Professor Shi Ningzhong has not only achieved a lot in the field of mathematical statistics but also contributed to philosophy and traditional Chinese culture. As a manager of higher education, he has also made abundant achievements in educational theory and practice through his long-term educational practice. Seizing the opportunity, he has focused school-running on service to basic education, the constructing of an all-round teacher education system and the U-G-S model that has enjoyed a national reputation. By blazing a new trail in rural education, he has led the research on rural education in China, laying a solid foundation for Rural Education Development Research Institute in China to turn it one of the country's core think tanks. He has paid attention to the process of educating people, attaching importance to the practice of thinking, and putting forward the teaching concepts of "four basics", "four abilities", and "three masteries". Based on national conditions, he has paid attention to vocational education and scientific judgment. He has devoted to the construction of a new pattern of general and vocational education. Taking a broad and long-term view, his capability of good governance and innovative methods contributes to leading our schools onto the fast track of development. What's more, his command of arts and science, prudent education, and much more attention to talent training reveal his useful reflection to the scientific development of college entrance examination.
